I can’t believe it’s been nearly a year since I last posted. What can I say? Life has gotten busy. But, this week I have had plenty of time to write, despite it being the lead-up to Christmakkuh and Moranfest. Why? Well, COVID, of course. Yep. I got it for the second time. I can’t help but chuckle when people ask me, “But didn’t you JUST have it?” Friends, it was TWO YEARS AGO.
I have to say, this time around is MUCH easier. I had a fever for the first day, and since then it’s just been like a bad cold. And really, it hasn’t been all that awful.
Sure, we had to cancel the cleaning lady and a hockey game date night, I miss going to CrossFit, and it’s not exactly a joy to mask in my own house. But there are definite plusses. Hubs and TG are still negative. He’s been sleeping in the guest room, and I got to fall asleep to the sound of rain for the first time in ages because I didn’t need to wear my earplugs. Plus, I got to finally watch Spirited (meh) and binge Harry & Meghan.
My only concern now is keeping the rest of the fam safe and not ruining Christmas. Oy!
Lots has happened this year. A few trips to Florida to visit my parents and MIL, one me-caytion to my MIL’s condo in FL (what a glorious week that was!), one to New York, and TG started high school. The NY trip was TG’s 8th grade graduation gift and it was an absolute blast!
In other news, I’ve done some work on this site. My Cancer Story now has its own subdomain and look. If you know anyone who is going through a similar journey and could use a lift, please link them up. Because Fuck Cancer. Also, I’ve decided to sort of re-start the photog biz. That page also got a makeover. If you know anyone looking for photog services, feel free to send them my way.
And now, without further ado, I present this year’s holiday card!
