Whoops! I forgot to post last week. Once again, I made more landscape and still life images. I wonder if we’ll ever get a different assignment.
Here’s what I turned in for week 4:
The assignment: make a landscape image with a single object as a focus point. I had all sorts of compositions in mind that I would have loved to do, but to find the settings would take more time than this week allowed. Instead, I worked with what I saw in my day to day activities. On this day, I was photographing a mock-wedding at Sunday school, and noticed this hydrant outside the post office across the way. I couls see the potential for my image right away. Thankfully, I was prepared with my camera. Shot hand-held.
The assignment: make a still life with three objects and two light sources. Sidelit with LED, front window light, flash pointed at ceiling.
Backlit with LED, front window light, flash pointed at ceiling.
I only submitted one image for week 5.
The assignment: make a landscape with one dominant element. This bridge is in the woods behind my house. We’ve taken family photos here in the past.
I also have a few bonus photos that came out of the walk in the woods.

The Girl was my assistant on our photo walk, but she often got distracted by nature.
Yes, everything is really that bright green. It is spring, after all.
In non-photog news, I’m still doing CrossFit, and hitting PRs all over the place!
